In Acts 3, the Bible says that the people were “utterly astounded” that Peter could heal a lame man.
But Peter was astonished at the fact that the crowd was “astonished” They still had no idea who Jesus was and what He had the power to do.
He explained that Jesus, the one they demanded should be killed, was the very one who had created the lame man’s body. And he was also the one who provided healing for that body.
He reminded them that even though Jesus (the author of life) was crucified, afterward, God produced power to raise Jesus from the dead.
As I read this scripture tonight, I could see a beautiful picture of the fact that we are created by God and we can also be healed by God!
When Jesus’ sacrifice of love was met by the power of God, authority was produced to be able to heal sickness and disease.
It reminded me that when I give a sacrifice of love to my neighbor, that love attracts the power of God. Love and power set the atmosphere for miraculous healing to take place.
